- An optional label you assign to saved calculations
- Your IP address at the time of the calculation
Guest users (not logged in) may have calculation data associated with a temporary session identifier. This data is not linked to any personal identity.

3.5 Cookies & Session Data
We use essential cookies to operate the website. For full details, please see our Cookie Policy.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use personal information solely to provide our services to you. Specifically:
- To operate and maintain your account
- To save and retrieve your calculation history
- To monitor login activity for your account security
- To process subscription payments (via Stripe)
- To send transactional emails (e.g. password resets, email verification)
- To respond to your enquiries or support requests
5. We Do Not Share Your Data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with any third-party providers for marketing, advertising, or any other purpose.
The only external services that process data on our behalf are:
- Cloudflare — infrastructure and security provider (CDN, DDoS protection, Turnstile spam protection). Cloudflare processes requests as a data processor, not a data recipient.
- Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions only. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment data.
- Google Analytics — website usage analytics, only when you opt in via our cookie consent banner. Google acts as a data processor.
5a. Cross-Border Disclosure of Personal Information (APP 8)
Some of our service providers store and process data outside Australia. Under Australian Privacy Principle 8, we are required to disclose where your personal information may be transferred overseas:
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States) — Provides our CDN, DDoS protection, and Turnstile spam protection. Data may transit through Cloudflare's global edge network including data centres in the USA, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Cloudflare Privacy Policy
- Google LLC (United States) — Provides Google Analytics (only with your consent) and Google Tag Manager. Analytics data is processed in Google's US data centres. Google Privacy Policy
- Stripe, Inc. (United States) — Processes Pro subscription payments. Cardholder data is processed in Stripe's US infrastructure. Stripe Privacy Policy
By using our website, you consent to your personal information being transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to ensure that overseas recipients handle your personal information in accordance with the APPs, including by selecting providers that comply with internationally recognised privacy frameworks (such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable).
6. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Where GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following bases:
- Consent — when you create an account and agree to these terms; when you opt in to analytics cookies.
- Contractual necessity — to provide the calculator services you have requested.
- Legitimate interest — for login activity monitoring and account security.
7. Data Retention
- Account data — retained while your account is active. Deleted when you delete your account.
- Calculation history — retained while your account is active. Permanently deleted when you delete your account.
- Login activity — retained for up to 90 days for security purposes, then automatically purged. All records are permanently deleted when you delete your account.
- Guest session data — expires with your browser session or within 30 days, whichever is sooner.
8. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data — download a copy of all your data from your Profile → Settings page.
- Correct inaccurate data — update your name and email from your Profile page.
- Delete your data — permanently delete your account and all associated data from your Profile → Settings page.
